Yamaha CM500 connections

Tom Field
I have acquired a Yamaha CM 500 headset to use with my newly built K2sb.
I've looked through the archives and found an in line resistor is required.
My question is how to set the jumpers on the front panel board.

Set the jumpers/resistor exactly as recommended for the Elecraft
MH2 microphone.

Tom,

You can set the jumpers just like for the Elecraft microphones - all
straight across.  You will also need a bias resistor between pin 6 and
pin 1 at the back of the mic jack - 5.6k will do fine.

You will also need an adapter to go between the 3.5mm plug on the CM500
to the 8 pin Foster jack on the K2.
The Heil adapter for Kenwood will work just fine - it is Heil item
number AD-1 K.  I believe you can get one from Elecraft, but it is not
listed in their parts order listing.  You can certainly get one from
Heil or the many ham radio distributors who handle Heil microphones.

Of course, it should be easy to homebrew your own adapter.
