stan levandowski
Ulrich, ZS2/N2DE will be on the air beginning at 1800Z today (01/25) and
tomorrow (01/26).

He's running a barefoot KX3 into a PAR EndFEDZ (40/20/10 meter version).

Frequency is 14.031.

Happy Hunting!

Ignacy
I operated from ZS a few years ago using K2/10 and more less half wave verticals. Antarctica was easy to work but everything else was not.

XG3 Extended Range (lower)

Eugene Balinski
In reply to this post by stan levandowski
All,

I have been looking at the XG3 as a alignment tool for
old boat anchor receivers.  However, many have IF strips at
455 kHz and lower.  The XG3 stops at 1.5 MHz.

Are there any plans to lower the bottom frequency limit
to 100 kHz or lower ?  Some boat anchors have a 60 kHz IF
component.

I agree that would be very useful for lofers on VLF as well. Don't know if
that would be a problem or not with the XG3 just another add to an extremely
useful tool to begin with.

I must admit they pack at lot in a small package for us little guys to use,
one that I thought that I would never own all the tools for what it does.
