comport and the KAT500

haircutter@verizon.net
Hello Group,
Checking my K-line setup, noticed the my utility for the Kat500 wasn't reading the comport. Checked to see if comport cable from the kat500 was plugged into the computer. "Yes" Shows comport 25 in the Device manager. But when I check the comport in the utility I get the message " connected device does not appear to be a elecraft Kat500.
Checked the comport setup for the K3,P3,Kpa500, all are working fb. Rechecked the connections last night and again this morning. Must be looking right at the problem, but not seeing it...........(big senior moment)
 Any suggestions would help.

Hi Don,

Is it possible that you have another PC program in communication with the K3. Perhaps a logging program. That could make the com port busy.
