ftp file

I am trying to download the 2.76 beta firmware. I have gone to the FTP site and clicked on the link for the file but the page comes up empty no file at all

any help?

Todd this question often crops up, both here and elsewhere. It's usually
a problem with your software rather than the site.

Version 2.76 definitely exists at:
ftp://ftp.elecraft.com/K3/firmware/beta/

Have you tried clearing the cache from your browser? My Firefox locates
and downloads it without any issues, I have it set to clear it's cache
when exiting the program (clear private data when exiting the program).

I suspect your browser cache is holding an old directory listing and that’s what you’re seeing.

 

My browser shows hfwnotes.rtf and k3fw2r76.zip. Both are dated 12/23 at 10:32 AM.

The ftp site is case sensitive. Make sure the K3 is capitalized.

hi all,

I recommend using a decent ftp client. I use Total Commander (from
www.ghisler.com) it has an ftp client plugin. With this program you can
define the ftp server, login, directory at both sides of the connection and with
one click you are where you wanted to be.
Donloading the file is just another key press. With the speed of new updates
and improvements at ftp.elecraft.com you can save a lot of time ;-)
