no audio sidetone for CW

John Wiener
I recently had a glitch with the ATU going out of "Auto" mode but
before I figured it out, I hard reset my K2.

I have since gone back and recal'd PLL and filter settings and
readjusted S-meter.

I now do not get a CW sidetone on transmit.  Adjustments to St L  and
St P result in muted audio.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

John

The reset gave you the wrong source for the sidetone. It's selected in the
MENU.

MENU -> St L -> MENU (to enable the sidetone level set), then tap DISPLAY.
It'll toggle between the two sidetone sources, U6-25 and U8-4. Since you
don't have sidetone now, one tap should restore it.

John,

You need to change the sidetone source in the menu.

Enter the menu for ST L, edit the parameter, then tap the DISPLAY button
until you hear sidetone.
