Hello,
I trying to record from K3 to recallpro but no audible audio in the recorded file I have LIN OUT = 10 I something else to take care? For example MIC SEL and LIC+LIN settings? Some months ago I recorded and I had a good audio files with clear RX and TX audio, but now I couldn´t. I am recording also from a TS850 and the audio is OK in the recorded file. Thanks, Jorge CX6VM/CW5W ______________________________________________________________ Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |
Jorge,
What happens if you plug computer speakers into the Line Out jack? If you have sound from those speakers, you can conclude that the K3 is OK and examine your recording setup and cables carefully. Line Out is on the left channel (tip) from the Main RX - the ring (right channel) is audio from the subRX. Do you have the plug inserted all the way? Check the easy things first. 73, Don W3FPR On 6/2/2012 5:12 PM, Jorge Diez - CX6VM wrote: > Hello, > > > > I trying to record from K3 to recallpro but no audible audio in the recorded > file > > > > I have LIN OUT = 10 > > Elecraft mailing list Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/elecraft Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.htm Post: mailto:[hidden email] This list hosted by: http://www.qsl.net Please help support this email list: http://www.qsl.net/donate.html |

Jorge,
That *should* work fine. A Line Out level of 10 is what I use here for receive audio on data modes like MT63, Olivia, etc. Make sure you're using a stereo patch cord from the K3 to the input to the recording device. 73, matt W6NIA On Sat, 02 Jun 2012 18:12:07 -0300, you wrote: >Hello, > > > >I trying to record from K3 to recallpro but no audible audio in the recorded >file > > > >I have LIN OUT = 10 > > > >I something else to take care? Thanks Matt and Don for all the help about that.
I went to the station this afternoon to test the cables again. All seems good now again. I have audio from both K3 and TS850. Anyway TS850 audio level in the recorded file is higher. I increased the LIN OUT level and seems I am comfortable with LIN OUT = 30 to have a decent audio on the recorded file This will be a problem during CW or SSB operation? I think not, but just to be sure. Jorge,
I don't think that Line Out setting will be any problem at all. Normally Line out is not used for SSB or CW operation, but if you are getting into data modes, it may need to be adjusted. 73, Don W3FPR On 6/3/2012 6:43 PM, Jorge Diez - CX6VM wrote: > Thanks Matt and Don for all the help about that. > > I went to the station this afternoon to test the cables again. > > All seems good now again. Hi Jorge,
Much of this depends on the sensitivity of the recording device. LIN OUT can be set from 0 to 100. If I remember correctly, a setting of 50 would be a standard line level if the termination is correct - something like 1k ohms. Standard line level is 1Vp-p. I'm not sure what Wayne used though. I agree with Don on this. Should be fine. 73, matt W6NIA On Sun, 03 Jun 2012 20:15:38 -0400, you wrote: >Jorge, > >I don't think that Line Out setting will be any problem at all. >Normally Line out is not used for SSB or CW operation, but if you are >getting into data modes, it may need to be adjusted. > >73, >Don W3FPR > >On 6/3/2012 6:43 PM, Jorge Diez - CX6VM wrote: >> Thanks Matt and Don for all the help about that. >> >> I went to the station this afternoon to test the cables again. >> >> All seems good now again.
