tilt stands...

IS there a 1.5" bail for the K3 to replace the awkward 3" standard one?
I cannot locate it in the Elecraft pages.

Hi John,

The K3's tilt stand is 2.0" tall, not 3.0". We selected the 2" size  
based on various criteria, and there is no other option.

A K2 1.5-inch high tilt stand won't fit on a K3 unless you re-drill  
the K3's bottom cover.

Even if it would, I'm not sure what an 0.5-inch difference would do  
for you.

SORRY... my mistake... I didn't realize you were asking about the K3.

Wayne has confirmed there is no alternative to the 2-inch stand for the K3.

For the K2, there is a 3" and 1.5"
